Dialing Modes
We can support a large number of outbound dialing modes
1. Predictive dialing
The system automatically pre-dials enough numbers to keep all
your operators online and talking. It anticipates the need for a new call to be
made, screens out unanswered calls and faxes and only sends live calls directly
to available operators. If there are no available operators the call is simply hanged
up and will be called later (a dropped call). This is very effective if you have
a large number of numbers to dial and also if you have a large number of operators.
Under 40 or so operators and the dropped call rise to alarming levels.
2. Power dialing
Power dialing is somewhat similar to predictive dialing. Whenever
an operator is ready for an outbound call the system begins to call two, three or
four number at the same time. Once a live connection is made, the other lines immediately
stop dialing. You can get very good answer rates in Power dialing, but you will
also experience some dropped calls.
3. Preview dialing
Preview dialing will only dial one outbound call for each operator
available. The operator can preview the personal data of the person being
called and can cancel the call at any time. If the call is not answered after a
number of seconds the system will close the call and attempt another number.
4. Manual dialing
Obviously, you can always fall back to a manual dialing mode where
the operators manually enter the phone number to be called. This is by far the least
productive mode of all.

Of course, it depends a lot on the campaign and on the quality
of the numbers you have, but we can regularly produce Talk-time-per hour in the
35 - 45 minutes range.
This is the result of a test running our various dialing modes. The best the operators
can do in a manual dialing mode is to achieve around 17 minutes of talk time in
one hour. Using any other dialing mode improves that time dramatically
